Mercer Island First Friday Artwalk Featuring Kevin Ducoing

March 6 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Experience the Pacific Northwest Landscape Through the Eyes of Kevin Ducoing

Join us for the Mercer Island First Friday ArtWalk on March 6, 2026, as we welcome West Seattle artist Kevin Ducoing to Barrels Wine Bar.

Ducoing’s work is a profound exploration of the Pacific Northwest aesthetic—one defined by damp forests, gray skies, and a unique duality between nature and human presence. Known for his evocative series like “They Came in Peace” and “The Blue House,” Kevin uses bold strokes, accidental textures, and a “gritty underlayment” to capture the surreal relationship between our homes and the landscapes they inhabit. Whether it’s a house untethered and drifting through a misty forest or a figurative piece capturing a subtle betrayal of emotion, his art invites viewers to see the local lore and “ghost stories” hidden in our own backyard.

Stroll through Town Center, grab a glass of wine, and meet the artist behind these captivating, monochromatic-leaning works. It’s an evening dedicated to local creativity, community connection, and the moody beauty of the Cascadias.
