Meet the owner…
Josh Wojcik
Wait a minute… what happened to Joe and Tina?
Joe and Tina founded Barrels in 2018 and have decided to finally, fully retire. You will still be able to see them, just on the other side of the bar.
Josh purchased the business in December of 2023, bringing a passion and love for wine. Josh was so impressed with Barrels, that he gave up his career in tech to pursue his dream of being in the wine industry.
Joe and Tina truly built an amazing business and Josh hopes to make it even better.
Josh grew up in Southern Idaho and moved to the Seattle area in 2002. He attended both University of Idaho and Colorado State. He has travelled extensively to New Zealand, Germany, and along the Mediterranean. His favorite varietal is Mourvèdre with Cabernet Sauvignon a close second.

Encaustic and Ink Inspiration by Kristy Swanson
Kristy Swanson is a Woodinville based artist working in ink, encaustic, and mixed media. Influenced by shapes and patterns found in both natural and urban environments, she creates colorful and meditative artwork, creating vibrant impressions and visual fields that hold the feeling of place that she’s experienced. She strives to make intangible experiences visible, aiming for a quiet and complex beauty, balancing simplicity of expression with richly nuanced details.
Kristy began painting in 2016 and is primarily self-taught. She has been an artist in residence at the Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts in Wyoming, as well as at the Encausticastle in Kentucky, and is a gallery artist with Ryan James Fine Arts in Kirkland. Her professional life includes working as a therapist and as a hair colorist, and threads of these careers inform her art: a love of color and beauty, as well as an interest in quiet reflection and introspection, show up in her artworks. In addition, she is an avid lover of nature, pursuing skiing, cycling, hiking, and gardening as time allows.
