Lytle-Barnett is a winery that masterfully blends French tradition with Oregon authenticity to craft exceptional vintage sparkling wines. The winery’s ethos is a confluence of passion, precision, and quality, made possible through the collaboration of co-founder Andy Lytle and director of winemaking Andrew Davis. Lytle-Barnett is dedicated to creating high-quality, local bubbles using the exact specifications of vintage French Champagne, and their wines are known to have spent more than three years in the bottle before release.
The winery’s dedication to quality has not gone unnoticed, with its sparkling wines receiving high praise. Lytle-Barnett sources its grapes from estate vineyards in the Eola-Amity Hills, a region known for its ideal conditions for growing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Visitors can experience the result of this meticulous process at the shared Lytle-Barnett and Aubaine tasting room in downtown Dundee, which offers a unique flight of sparkling wines, a rarity in the Willamette Valley.
Rising Wines Collective is not a traditional winery, but rather a curated wine club and online retailer focused on small-production wines. Their mission is to share exceptional wines that might otherwise only be found by traveling to wine country. They partner with small-production winemakers, most with less than 15,000 cases in production, and select wines from diverse winemakers with sustainable, organic, and biodynamic practices.
The collective prides itself on a commitment to quality and transparency. Before curating their selections, they gather a diverse group of wine educators, sommeliers, winemakers, and enthusiasts to taste and discuss the wines. This dedication to finding standout wines and providing background stories on the people who make them makes Rising Wines Collective an ideal way for wine lovers to discover new, high-quality vintages.
