Meet the owner…
Josh Wojcik
Wait a minute… what happened to Joe and Tina?
Joe and Tina founded Barrels in 2018 and have decided to finally, fully retire. You will still be able to see them, just on the other side of the bar.
Josh purchased the business in December of 2023, bringing a passion for wine. Josh was so impressed with Barrels, that he gave up his career in tech to pursue his dream of being in the wine industry. Josh’s three favorite things are music, art, and wine. Barrels is the perfect convergence of all three.
Joe and Tina truly built an amazing business and Josh hopes to make it even better.
Josh grew up in Southern Idaho and moved to the Seattle area in 2002. He attended both University of Idaho and Colorado State. He has travelled extensively to New Zealand, Germany, and along the Mediterranean. His favorite varietal is Mourvèdre with Cabernet Sauvignon a close second.
Josh’s wine focus is both New Word and Old World, Washington wines, small production, women and minority led, and wines of unique distinction.

Oct/Nov Featured Artist: Jordan Bye
Jordan Bye has been passionate about art his entire life and has been professionally painting since 2013. He considers himself an abstract surrealist artist with an emphasis on organic geometry and color gradients. His paintings are born of a whimsical drawing of lines, which creates various geometries and shapes. He then paints his works of art with a tiny brush blending the colors into smooth gradients.
Jordan’s most respected art influences are Salvador Dali, Vincent van Gogh, and Alex Grey. In addition to spreading art for all to enjoy, Jordan’s goal as an artist is better understand mental health and to create spaces of healing through color therapy and curiosity.
Jordan has been featured in several art galleries in the greater Seattle area. He is active in his local community of Renton, just outside of Seattle. If you find yourself in downtown Renton, be sure to check out his custom art installation, a rainbow fire hydrant!
When he is not painting, he enjoys gardening, hiking, and camping in the great Pacific Northwest. He plays piano and guitar daily and loves learning about our wonderful world through his home library and listening to podcasts.
